How to get there?

You can reach Samara Karoo Reserve with a 2.5-hour drive from Port Elizabeth to the reserve gate, followed by 15–18 kilometers of dirt road, depending on the lodge where you’ll be staying.

when to go?

The best time to visit the Great Karoo region is during the Southern Hemisphere summer, from October to May.
